Plate & frame type filter presses have separate plates and Frames. Recessed plate type have raised rim round the edges of its plate so as to form chamber between 2 plates . While in operation , filter cloth hang from each plate, extending beyond the edges. Each plate has centrally located feed hole and there are corresponding holes in the filter cloth , which is fasten leak proof to plate at the centre by clips. When the liquid is pumped into the press , it fills up in chambers and passes through pores of the filter cloth . solid like dirt clay and crushed seed etc can not pass through small pores and are retained on cloth , resulting in seperation of liquid from solids . Clean liquid is taken out through cock attached to each plate. Every plate is ground to close tolerance to ensure leak proof joints at operating pressures which is generally maintained at 35 lbs per sq inch. The rate of filteration is very high due to powerful pump and accurate assembly.

Air vessel 1 pc, Spanner 2 Pcs, Overflow Valve 1 Pc, Pressure Gauge 1 Pc , Chuck Valve 2Pcs, Oil Gutter 1Pc , Grease Cups 3 Pcs , Pump 1 Pc , Nut pairs and G, M Taper Cock for each plate, Sockets and Nipples extra.
Important
When the rate of filteration is low filter cloth should be washed first with water and then with Sodium Carbonate to ensure the efficient working of filter press. By doing so the life of filter cloth will also be elongated.
